Street Life is produced by Melanie Rice and Bob Fowler, with Philadelphia entertainer Eddie Bruce serving as Master of Ceremonies.
The inaugural concert in 2005 and the accompanying CDs were the brainchild of Northfield’s Nina Soifer. Soifer became inspired when hearing Hansen House founder Jennifer Hansen perform a song titled “Street Life,” which Hansen wrote about her own experience of having lived life on the streets with a drug addiction.
All proceeds from the Street Life Concert will benefit Hansen House, two, 24-bed residential treatment halfway houses (one for men and one for women) located at 411 Aloe Street in Galloway Township, N.J. A private, charitable 501(C) 3 non-profit corporation, Hansen House treats the diseases of alcoholism and drug addiction, providing clients with the tools and skills needed to live productive and responsible lives.
