Havana Slots

The Tropicana is opening a new slot area. Havana Rooftop Slots debuts Thursday, May 15 with a VIP/media event and official ribbon cutting.
Havana Rooftop Slots is a 3,000 square-foot raised section of its casino that has been transformed into a Havana-themed experience. Visitors to the new slot area will be greeted by specially uniformed staff and surrounded with the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of Old Havana, Cuba. Authentic Cuban music, vivid artwork, specialty drinks and coffees, festive lighting, and the faintest aromas of citrus and coffee will entice the senses while players enjoy the latest in slot technology. The slots available include 12 “Havana Gold™” progressive-link slots, which have been custom-themed by International Game Technology (IGT) specifically for the project. The Havana Rooftop Slots project was developed by slot manufacturer and casino supply company, AC Coin & Slot.

What's In A Name

HarrahsWeb.gifHarrah’s Entertainment, Inc. announced today, April 9, that its board of directors has approved a plan to change the company’s name to Caesars Entertainment Corporation, pending regulatory approvals.
The name change is designed to capitalize on the high international name recognition enjoyed by the CaesarsWEB.gifCaesars brand and to appeal to customers attracted by its connotation of luxury, opulence and world-renowned entertainment, dining and shopping options.
“Adoption of the name Caesars Entertainment Corporation will provide our company with greater prestige and help attract strategic business partners as we pursue expansion opportunities in new jurisdictions,” said Gary Loveman, Harrah’s chairman, president and chief executive officer. “The change also reflects our evolution into a full-service entertainment company that offers a rich range of gaming and non-gaming amenities to our guests.”
We don't know yet whether this corporate change means that any of the Harrah's/Caesars Atlantic City casinos — Bally's, Harrah's, Caesars and the Showboat/House of Blues — will have a name change.
